Welcome to the RRPictureArchives.NET contributor site of Don Oltmann.
I've been watching trains since I was a 3 yr old and my dad used to take me by the train station while doing Saturday errands.
I started taking pictures with a Kodak folding camera (620 film, 1/100th shutter) when I was about 12.
Took many, many slides in the northeast from the mid 1970s thru the early 1990s using manual SLR. The appearance of kids pretty much slowed railfanning to a trickle.
Now, I have a Kodak DX7590 which has got me going again. Most pictures in the Atlanta Area album were taken on the way to do errands around home or at lunchtime at work.
Enjoy.
